Due to the lack of direct help and support from their parents, they have to fend for themselves, such as working to cover all daily expenses. Gradually, they would value their labour and become more mature and responsible for their lives. Secondly, they can broaden their knowledge when living and studying in different countries. By being exposed to diverse cultures and lifestyles as well as acquainting new people from other religions, the students can access new knowledge during their studying period. As a result, they can have a new outlook on the world.

On the other hand, this would bring some adverse drawbacks to them and their family. One obvious challenge is that their emotions and feelings might be negatively influenced. The students may suffer from a sense of isolation, alienation, or even discrimination from other pupils due to the difference between their cultures. Hence, this would lead to depression, which ends up return to their countries without finishing their study journey. Moreover, they might waste financial aid support from their family. Since they are no longer under the strict control of their parents, they might be astray from surrounding factors, including toxic friends or overworked part-time jobs. Therefore, this can result in the ignorance of their study.

In summary, due to the significant pros, such as personality formation and new knowledge, as well as cons, including discrimination and negative development which students can bring to the countries, the governments should consider whether to boost or hinder this phenomenon.
