Children and adolescents are engaging in criminal activities at an alarming rate in various nations. In this essay, I will discuss some viable reasons for this positive development and put forward some feasible resolutions with s view to curbing the number of young offenders.

There are several reasons that explain this tendency. The foremost reason would be online content with detrimental influences on teenagers. More specifically, they squander time on objectable screentime activities such as highly violent games and programs. Consequently, some adolescents tend to imitate misbehaviours from these activities without the complete awareness of the negative repercussions. On top of that, the trend of juvenile delinquency is also attributed to the increase in the divorce rate. In particular, in the modern age, the hectic lifestyle prevents people from having quality time for their family to have meals or go on family outings, which leads to some of the conflicts between spouses. Their children then are more likely to become antisocial and harbour resentment towards society. Hence, teenagers from those families might be wrongdoers.

Confronting this situation, the national authorities could tackle it by carrying out some viable solutions. First, young criminals should be put into prison according to the level of seriousness of their crimes. It would be a proper time for offenders to reflect on their previous actions and reform their behaviours. Furthermore, petty lawbreakers could be sent into reform schools to being provided with free education and vocational training. It is a valuable opportunity for them to turn over a new leaf so that they would become upright citizens. Finally, the government could concern about the root causes by censoring content available on the Internet as well as providing psychological consulting for the young confronted with mental issues to help them overcome.

In conclusion, juvenile delinquency is caused by some aforementioned factors, including detrimental online content and the high divorce rate of their parents. Moreover, there are also many viable methods such as imprisoning, sending to reform institutions, and censoring content on the Internet that could be adopted to iron it out.

Over the past few years, there has been a dramatic increase in the number of crimes committed by teenagers. There are several reasons for this and the most important among them is the influence of the media. Poverty and illiteracy also encourage many teens to get into crime. Young people committing serious crimes should receive the same punishment as adults. That is the most effective way to curb juvenile crime.
Young people who watch a lot of violent programmes on television and the internet have higher chances of getting into crime than their peers who do not watch such shows. Juveniles have impressionable minds and as such it is quite easy for them to get influenced by what they watch. Needless to say, they commit crimes without even fully understanding the consequences of their action. The family background is another major influence on children. Children coming from poor or dysfunctional families are more likely to get involved in anti-social activities. Oftentimes, they do not have a role model in life and get into bad company. Peer pressure is another factor that influences children. Youngsters may pick up habits like smoking or drinking under the influence of their peers. They may even steal money to have the same lifestyle as their friends.
Giving the right punishment is crucial for dealing with juvenile crime. Young people committing heinous crimes should be treated like adults and receive the same punishment. In many countries, this is not the case and juveniles are treated leniently. This has to change. Stringent punishments will automatically act as a deterrent and force teens to think twice before they do something illegal. Parents and teachers can also play an important role in checking juvenile crime. Parents should monitor their children’s activities and the company they keep.
In conclusion, crime is crime whether it is committed by a teenager or an adult. The only way to control teenage crime rates is to enforce strict laws that make teenagers think twice before breaking the law.
