Describe something that was broken in your home and then repaired

So when it comes to this topic, which is about one thing that I broke and then immediately fixed, the first thing that just pops up in my mind right now is a TV in my house. If I’m not mistaken, the time that I broke it was when I had to clean up the house to fully prepare for Lunar New Year, or can be called the Tet holiday in Vietnam. 

Obviously, since the TV is kinda big so I had to move it to somewhere else in order to clean more effectively and efficiently. But unfortunately, I slipped on the floor by accident and dropped it to the ground. You definitely cannot imagine how I was at that time. My brain died about three seconds since I could not believe what was going on in front of my eyes. It was too quick for me to recognise all thing. Then, I still attempted, I tried to turn it on but it was not working, it was still a black screen. But lucky for me, my mom went out for her work with my father and they were not home. I knew that I definitely would be scolded by my parents a lot right when they get back. Therefore, I had to think quickly and do something immediately.

One idea just went through my mind, I decided to find an electronic store as fast as I could. After a while, I found out about the nearby store and invited the fixer to my house to check the condition of the TV. After a few minutes of checking and examining what was wrong with my TV, he said that I had to get my screen changed because of the heavy damage. But you know what, the fee cost me a big fortune since it was up to 200$, I estimate. You know, I was just a student and had to live on a tight budget from my parents’ support, I felt like I was totally ripped off. But I still had to pay it with all my savings. It was pretty sad for me at that time because I wanted to use it for my coming travelling trip. But it all flew ago then. Then, fortunately, when my mom and dad arrived home, they did not realise it once was broken a few minutes ago. I had to say that the fixer was so brilliant since he saved me from “the bad dream”. Otherwise, I thought I might be kicked out of my house due to the high cost of the television.

So yeah, it was one of the terrible experiences that I had, I hope that I will not break anything anymore since I do not want to lose any more money like that silly situation.
