You can base on the task “Describe a skill that is difficult for you to learn” that I used to do. They have a similarity since they are both required to describe people. As a result, they can be linked without interruption.
So when it comes to this topic, which is about a tough thing that I did, the first thing that immediately pops up in my mind at the present is when I cooked dinner for my family. It sounds embarrassing that I am not good at cooking, I mean I am a clumsy person so cooking is like my horrible nightmare. I still remember vividly this one time I cut myself when doing cooking, and from that moment, I have never cooked again.
But I cannot shy away from it forever, I have to learn this, you know, I have to grow and live on my own. So, I decided to ask my mom to teach me how to cook like her a couple of weeks ago. If you have been here long enough, you can realize how complicated the Vietnamese meal is. It would be a delicious dish or it would be a culinary disaster if we are not careful to use the right ingredients and the right flavours.
Then, when I started to cook, I was kinda struggling since I didn’t know how to use those kitchen utensils. My mom had to teach me to step by step. At that moment, I could feel how hard she had worked for my family since it was just a normal dinner, but she had to do it every day. I was kinda moved and said that I loved her, for all the things she do for us. And then, when the dinner was finally done. I was a bit nervous that whether my family members liked it or not. But fortunately, they gave me lots of compliments. So I can call it a good starting point, right?
So yeah, maybe my skill is not completed 100% but I hope that I will become more skilful than my mom and can cook without hesitation anymore.
