So when it comes to this topic, which is about a song I really love, the first one that immediately pops up in my mind at the present is Born this way by Lady Gaga. I think you and most of the people would know it since it is her smash hit, but in fact, I have to admit that I have just known it recently, just about a couple of days ago, when I heard it on Tiktok, one of the popular online platforms that emphasise promotion through music and video.
At first, when I heard the song for the very first note, I was struck by its catchy and unique melodies. Then when searching on the Internet, I realised that this song was composed and performed by Lady Gaga on her own, no wonder why people keep calling her a lyrical prodigy in the world.
That time, I spent tons of time hearing it but I did not pay much attention to what the lyrics were about. But when I actually did, I was really surprised since she conveyed a meaningful message inside the song. Through Born this way, she tried to say that people are all equal no matter who they are and where they are from. She also highlighted some sensitive global issues in her song such as skin colour or gender.
But it is 2022 now, and the way people help this song go viral again is also a meaningful action. Since I am also a part of the LGBT community, so I know how hard it is since there are a lot of people who are ashamed of themselves and try to change to fit with others’ standards. I think it is not necessary. Like the title, we are born this way, that is a precious gift we have, so we can make our own decisions for everything, especially our lives. I think that is all her intention in releasing this song and to be honest, I really love it.
So yeah, I think it should be a great song for everyone to hear at least once. Maybe they will not like it but at least, there will be some changes in their mind about this world.
