Describe a toy that you often played with as a child

So when it comes to this topic, which is about memorable items that I used to play with when I was a child, the first thing that immediately pops up in my mind at the moment is a stuffed bear named Marsupilami, who is the main character in my favourite cartoon I had watched. If I am not mistaken, it was a special gift from my parents on, hmm, 6th birthday, about that time, I guess. Because it has been a while since that so, I am not able to remember it well. And then, as soon as I got this, I jumped for joy and even paid no attention to other presents from my relatives and friends.

At first, I was kinda struck by its lovely appearance. It simulated exactly the one in the movie, which was familiar to all the rage children back then. I think you know him; he is a yellow monkey with some black spots and a very long tail. Although the tail in the cartoon is kinda flexible for him to do everything, even the tough jobs like climbing trees, in real life, I felt a bit struggled to manage it since it was just a toy, not a real monkey.

Honestly, I used to be an introverted person when I was a little kid. I did not have many friends, and my parents were always busy, so the bear was the only close friend I had. I spent most of my time talking with him. Although he could not answer for sure cause he was just a toy, at least he was a good listener to me for a very long childhood time. But when I went on a trip with my family to another province, I did not know why I accidentally forgot him at the hotel where I had stayed. I cried for almost a week and felt so guilty because he was the very first friend that I had ever had. Whenever I watch something about this cartoon or just his photos, that feeling comes again, although I am grown a lot.

So yeah, thanks to this topic, make me remind of the most favourite toy, as well as my closest friend when I was a kid. From the bottom of my heart, I really hope that he would be somewhere nice now, a paradise for toys as an example.
