So when it comes to this topic, which is about an overspent thing that I used to buy and have, the first thing that immediately pops up in my mind at the present is the shirt that I am wearing right now. If I am not mistaken, the time that I had it was when I went to my friend’s birthday party. I am not sure what exact year it is, because it has been a long time since then.
I still remember vividly this one time when I was at his party, which is at a buffet restaurant. From the beginning, we said hello to each other and chatted, then I just gave him a present I had prepared for him, then I immediately came to a buffet line due to my starving stomach. Everything was normal until I accidentally spilled a cup of orange juice on my clothes. But the party was about to start so I had to find another shirt immediately.
Luckily, I saw a nearby store. I then went to that one to choose another shirt that could match the outfit I was wearing. And I saw there was only one that met my needs, then I brought it to the cashier without checking the price. At first, I just thought it was about 20$ but it was actually 45$. As you can imagine, I am just a student, so I have to live on a tight budget. Honestly, I felt like I was ripped off. But then I had no choice, I had to pay for it and put it on and get back to the party. Luckily, it matches my outfit really well and all of my friends really loved it when they saw it.
So, you see, I still use it until now. I see it as a lucky shirt for me on every special occasion to gain luck from “the universe”.
