It is universally agreed that the majority of global urgent issues can only be resolved with worldwide cooperation. Following this, I personally concur with this point, however, there are also some exceptions. Therefore, in this essay, I would elaborate on my personal viewpoints about this problem.
Firstly, it is undeniable that international support would helpfully address a multitude of issues of great urgency. From a medical perspective, it is seen that amid covid-19 pandemic, developed countries distributed vaccines to some third-world nations through a medical organization called COVAX. We all know that the manufacture of vaccines requires a massively intensive technology and scientific resources. Therefore, underprivileged communities could hardly contain the deadly disease themselves without relying on supplies from other countries.
In addition, regarding environmental degradation, I hold a belief that every country needs to join hands in hopes of curbing air pollution. It is almost impossible for any single country to resolve the contamination without collaboration with other countries in the vicinity. In effect, there was a global agreement to put an end to CFC use with a view to stopping its ever-present damage on the ozone layer. The atmosphere, therefore, has been recovering thanks to international cooperation. As a result, it shows us that no sole nation could tackle problems, especially ones pertaining to the environment or widespread epidemics
However, on the other hand, there are still some sensitive issues requiring domestic efforts only. It is mainly because foreign governments always expect something in return when granting support. National defense and independence, hence, would be at stake. For a thorough understanding, the previous lasting conflicts in Afghanistan would best exemplify. To be specific, by permitting the interference of some big nations, such the USSR or the USA as, constitutes the main reason to cause the instability in Afghanistan.
In conclusion, although there could be some risks about national defense or political problems, there are a host of issues that can only be solved by global unity, such as ones referring to environmental and medical problems, therefore, I totally concur that if every nation could jointly put the disagreement between each other behind, it would open up a better future for our world.
