I live in a countryside in the West of Vietnam, and my house has a traditional and typical design of that region. It is built mostly from wood – a very familiar material of Western people. The living room is also the place to put the altar, and there are two big wooden columns right in the middle of the room. After the thick curtain at the end of the living room are three bedrooms for our family and a smaller one for guest. Next is a back room which we use as a dining room, and it is also a bathroom there. The kitchen is located about 5 meters from the main house, and there is a small way with the roof on top to lead to that area. The whole house is covered by a garden where my father plants some of the fruit trees and raise some animal such as chickens and ducks. In the corner is a small pond, and sometimes we catch fish from there for our meals. There are nothing much about my house, but it is the most comfortable and loving place for me to back after a long day outside.

I live in a rather big house in the countryside, and it is beautiful. In front of my house is a yard that has several ornamental trees which my father plants. He loves to decorate the yard with greens, and sometimes some people come to buy them. My house has two floors. The first floor is for the living room, two bedrooms for my parents and grandparents, the kitchen and one bathroom. The second floor has two more bedrooms for my brother and me, another bathroom, a small room to put the altar, and outside space for us to gather at night. It goes along the house is the two corridors on both floors. The under one is used to put two tables for us to study, a large cupboard to store dishes and bowls and other stuff. The upper one is the place to hang our clothes and our playground. Although the big area comes with many house chores, I still love to live in such an open space like my house.
